Indeed, I've taken a look at those options. Ideally what would be nice
to have is the /proc filesystem, as there are some helpful tools (such
as perl scripts) that can keep a watchful eye on httpd process sizes
and then gracefully euthanize them if they break the size limit. I was
wondering if there might be a method or object inside WO, perhaps
somewhat esoteric, that could monitor the httpd sizes.

periodically to determine if their size has grown beyond a maximum
