10.2-Server Headless Graphics WOes

Hello;
We're running some Java/WebObjects server-side graphics stuff and have
migrated from 10.1 to 10.2 server. When there is no head on the server
hardware, the graphics stuff stops working and the apple 1.3.1 JVM
seg-faults. Is there a way to force 10.2 to run with the graphics
environment booting -- we don't want to put a screen on it because it's
in a remote server room in a rack.
