Hi there,

If anyone could point me in the right direction with this IDE error I'm
getting, I'd be very grateful...

First off, let me declare that although I'm a long term java programmer,
I'm a complete newbie to WebObjects so may be doing something stupid!
There, that's out in the open...

I have the Dec 2002 Dev tools installed, and WO 5.1 with the 5.1.4 patch
set. Is this my first mistake? I'm not sure which tools are compatible
with which WO release. Where do I find that out?

I have been following the 'Discovering WO for HTML' guide, and am at the
componennt communication section. I'm doing as I'm told and using the
File>New File assistant to create a new WO Java Class. BUT... when I fill
in the 'New Java Class' dialog to name the class and click 'Finish', I get
the followng 'Internal Error' dialog :

Uncaught Exception:
*** -[PBXItemsSelectionModule selectedItems]: selector not recognized

Stack Backtrace:
The stack backtrace has been logged to the console.

If I click continue, I get returned to the IDE. If I then try again, I get
another 'Internal Error' :

File: pbxinterface/Wizards.subproj/PBXWizardPanel.m
Line: 275
Object: <PBXWizardPanel:0x01fad010>
Method: beginWizard:modalForWindow:modalDelegate:didEndSelector:contextInfo:

already running modal

...suggesting that the Assistant hasn't closed down properly.

Has anyone got any ideas that might help? I guess I've just got a dodgy
installation, but I've tried a couple of re-installs to no avail....

Many thanks in advance
Adrian Williams
