Quick question

Hello All

I'm new to the group, new to WebObjects AND new to computer programming! I've grown tired of paying software developers to produce web applications that do the job but are not to spec, so I decided that rather than keep moaning about it, I would learn to do the job myself.

All my previous commissions have been in PERL but I decided that it was a little dated and as a Macintosh user of 12 years, WebObjects appealed so with this in mind I have started to firstly learn Java BUT I have a dilemma, documentation seems thin on the ground and a little hit and miss for WO so I wondered if I should learn JSP, servlets and JavaBeans for my web app development rather than WO.

Would this be the wrong move?
