I did see that in the log, but restarting did no good. I do see an error
above that says "NSBundle was unable to find "ExtinsionsForResources.plist"
in the main bundle, option configuration not used." I do know that rapid
turnaround has something to do with the files that end in "plist". Any idea
why this is doing this? I think it might be the fact that I have the July
version of Project builder, so I am going to try the Decmer version.
Thanks.

The D2JC assistant is available only when rapid turnaround is available
(which it is by default in development mode). Look at the log when the
application starts up and I bet you'll see a message that says rapid
turnaround is disabled, therefore the D2JC assistant won't be available in
the client app. To "reenable" rapid turnaround, try restarting Project
Builder or restarting your computer.

anybody knows why, please help. Thanks.
