Yep you are right it requires 1.4 JDk.  I got the pre-release 1.4 DP8 from
apple's site and installed.  Then I still go the error.  Ends up the one I
saw was from having an old version of Log4J got the new 1.2.7 version and
with a couple tweaks now have the 3.0.1 (691) running.  Thanks to everyone
who responded.

I also got it setup with the WebObjects base classes in the search path so
now it auto-completes and shows prototype popups for WO functions and EO
functions.  Pretty cool.  I think with a little of work I could have gotten
code warrior to do this.  Another feature I like on IntelliJ is that it lets
you collapse and expand classes and functions making reading a file much
easier.

I wish apple would add these to ProjectBuilder as just about every other
tool has them.  Make remembering the prototypes for class constructors and
functions not an issue.
