The reason it's showing up as a package is that the name of the folder
is *.pbproj. I'm not sure all of the things that will make a folder
show up as a package, but naming it with one of the package extensions
is one of them. Things like .wo, .app, .pbproj, etc.

Something very strange here. I hope there's a simple fix.
Yesterday I had a simple WebObjects project in it's own folder.
Today when I come to open the folder to start work the Finder shows the
folder to be a package, so it doesn't open. I can right-click and show
package contents, thereby gaining the necessary access to MyApp.pbproj,
but I would be happier if I could tell the Finder that this is not a
package. Is there a bit setting somewhere that has mysteriously
changed? Since I last used it the only thing I have done is try (it
took all day) to backup important files including my project to iDisk.
Being particularly paranoid after a recent loss I tried to restore from
backup and found that the project folder showed as a single item - i.e
it could not be opened from within Backup. Now I know why Backup saw
it this way, but I don't know how the setting changed. The project has
suffered another indignity as the contents of main.java have been
erased. Fortunately this was easily fixed from an earlier copy.
Any suggestion please on how to make a "package" back into an ordinary
folder?
Denis
