Just installed BSD subsystem again from OS X install.
Nothing.
Installed Developer again, sure with BSD SDK.
Nothing.

/usr/bin/basename
This is part of the "BSD subsystem". Are you sure "BSD subsystem" was
checked when you installed osx? I think the default is that it is
checked?
