Jonathan,
I use Registry Crawler 4.01 ( http://www.voodoofiles.com/type.asp?cat_id=36 ) to find my webObjects registry items, what you are looking for is here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{DCA2E540-DB44-11D3-8456-00A0C9F1380D} (ProductID=B-321-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-340)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple\WebObjects\5.0 (SerialNumber=B-321-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-340)

Hope this help s you

Jonathan :-)

Okay, in my never-ending struggle to get WO 5.2 developer installed on my Windows 2000 machine, I _think_ I have finally solved most everything. (Why the installer keeps doing it wrong and requiring me to fix things, who knows, but I've fixed them).

The current thing that confronts me: my license key doesn't seem to be set properly. WO apps refuse to run saying 'invalid license key'. When I start up the license upgrader, it says "invalid serial number" for "current license". I don't know why, I certainly entered my license key as part of the install process, but the install process is doing many things wrong for mysterious reasons, so who knows.

But anyway, even after I type in my license number again in the License Upgrader, the "Upgrade" button is still greyed out. Is the License Upgrader not working for anyone else on Windows either? I'm guessing that there's a place in the registry I can just manually put my license, and ignore the License Upgrader's weirdness. Can anyone tell me where that is?
