You could wrap the generated launch script by one of your own that first configures the environment to your liking.

I don't point JavaMonitor/WOTask to the generated launch script but to such a wrapper script. The reason for this is different though: I also want to capture to a log file the output generated by the launch script as well as the one generated by the JVM befor NSLog is set up. This helps me troubleshooting applications that won't start.
