I currently own WO 5.1 and want to use that to learn WO and upgrade to
latest version when I am ready to start developing our business
applications.
Apple's WO 5.1 Documentation (at
http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/webobjects/WebObjects_5.1/webobjects.htm
l) has the document Discovering Webobjects for HTML
(http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/webobjects/WebObjects_5.1/DiscoveringWO
/index.html) published in May 2001.
Apple's current documentation for WO 5.2 (at
http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/webobjects/index.html) has a REVISED
version of the same document now named "Web Applications"
published in Feb 2003
Should I use the latter for my training on WO 5.1 for reasons of it being
revised and updated or would I encounter difficulties in following this
newer version of the document since I am using WO 5.1 and not WO 5.2??
The Revision History
(http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/webobjects/Web_Applications/RevisionHis
tory/index.html) summarizes the differences. Obviously my concern is with
the "Updated for WO 5.2" and the new chapter 6 (Backtracking, etc. ......
does this apply to WO 5.1??)
Any advice would be appreciated before I hunker down to learn WebObjects.
