I am taking the step from creating static web pages (with Macromedia

learn one I am asking if anyone on this list could tell my why I
should use WebObjects instead of ColdFusion. It would be greatly

I worked on a project that used ColdFusion in 1998. So my info is from
that era.
WebObjects is vastly easier to hook into an RDBMS although the way it
does it takes some getting used to (EOModeler). WebObjects Builder is
nicer to use than the CF Studio.
We had serious scalability problems with CF. Something like a few
hundred users per CF box after extensive tuning. Without tuning we
could get 2-3x that many users on a WO box.
In summary, my experience with ColdFusion is what made me look for an
alternative for my project that started in late 1999. I settled on
WebObjects after a month-long evaluation.
