Why does WebObjects randomly put ! in the middle of direct act ion URLs?

  • Subject: Why does WebObjects randomly put ! in the middle of direct act ion URLs?

I've noticed every now and then when I build and run a WebObjects
application that has a WOHyperlink bound to a direct action, WebObjects
seems to randomly put ! somewhere in the middle of the URL.

E.g.
http://127.0.0.1:1482/Scripts/Web! bjects.exe/appname.woa/wa/directAction?
stuff=1234556
<http://127.0.0.1:1482/Scripts/Web! bjects.exe/appname.woa/wa/directAction
?stuff=1234556>

What is even more strange is it seems to put it in different places on
subsequent visits to the page.

A recompile usually fixes the problem but I was wondering if anyone else had
seen this and knew why it occurred?

Jake MacMullin
