problem

For us novices I have a problem.

I upgraded to Panther/wo5.2.2/openbase8

Eomodeler will not hook up to the new database ie "no suitable driver"

ON top of that all my books say use the driver
com.openbase.jdbc.ObDriver

hell I can't find this driver on any of my disk backup or new.

It is hard enough for a "NOvice" to even open up EOmodeler let alone
try to chase down this nonsense!!

I suppose the end result will be typing something in the command line
but can anyone tell me "What"

The following is all I can find and I can say it makes little sense to
me.

General OpenBase JDBC Use - Path

You need to specify where the OpenBase JDBC driver is located when
using it with your applications. One way to do this is set the class
path from the command line as follows:

java -classpath
.:/Library/Java/OpenBaseJDBC.jar:pathToOtherLibrariesYourAreUsing MyApp

The first thing you need to do is establish a connection with the
DBMS you want to use. This involves two steps: (1) loading the driver
and (2) making the connection.

1. Loading Drivers:

	Class.forName("com.openbase.jdbc.ObDriver");

thanks in advance
