Documentation for 5.2.2

Hi,

this has already been touched on by a number of people this week, but I wanted to make it more explicit in the hopes that we might hear something sooner from Apple...

There was much talk at WWDC of how the WO documentation had been, was being and would be much improved and extended.

There are some clear directions that Apple are encouraging, such as deploying with JBoss.

And yet, 5.2.2 has been out for a week now, and there is no sign of any new documentation, either to help beginners or advanced users better understand existing capabilities, or to get to grips with new facilities. We've seen lots of discussion recently about what to put into the next release, but is there really any point if nothing is being documented.

I would understand if there were still a few i's to dot and t's to cross in the new documentation, because of dependencies on when Panther was finalized or whatever, and it was taking longer than Apple liked to get it out the door.

But it would be real good to know that it was coming.

The commercial books have been a big help in extending understanding of WO, but as far as I recall, none of them mention deploying as JSP, let alone in JBoss.

If Apple is the platform of "easier to use" and "it just works", then this needs to be made clearer with regards to WO.

And it might also be good if they could again find a way to provide hard copy versions of the documentation. I like being able to search in PDF's, but for front to back reading, hard copy seems to still be the winner.

Thanks for listening
Colin
