Cliff,
Thank you for your information. Personally I think leave things as they
are. I have just subscribed to the announcement list, and now look
forward to being more informed.
I didn't know the list existed - but the reason most probably is when I
signed up for the WO lists I was so overwhelmed by trying to learn
everything that I didn't take in all the options and only signed up for
the dev list. I then forgot to investigate what other options there
were.
My only change I could think of is to include a reference to the other
related lists like you do at the start of the digest for this list.
Ray
PS it is reassuring to know that someone from Apple does actually
monitor these lists and provide responses when necessary. Thanks for
the service. I possibly would have given up on WO if it weren't for the
support from other users here.
Would it be too much to cc this list?
Sigh, you can't please everyone. If we cross-post, and you're on both
lists
-- which we assume most everyone is -- you'd get two copies of the
announcement. By having a separate webobjects-announce list, people
can
subscribe to just that list, avoiding all the chatter here.
Here's a suggestion: subscribe to both lists, and filter everything to
webobjects-announce into your webobjects-dev mailbox. :-)
Maybe you're really upset because you didn't know the
webobjects-announce
list existed? Where did you hear about this list, where the other two
lists
(-announce, -deploy) weren't mentioned? Maybe we can publicize them
better.
