Entity Synchronization without EOModeler

Sorry for cross posting but I really need some info on this.

Has anyone tried to use the entity synchronization features programmatically? The documentation is appalling but even after managing to make some sense of it, I get an error when trying to generate a statement to add an Attribute to an Entity: java.lang.IllegalStateException: invocation of _isTableNamed: with no schema synchronization delegate. However the afore mention delegate is documented as private EOModeler and not to be implemented !!!!
