WebObjects(version 4.5.1 Update 2)
Uses database connection information:
        CLIENT_LOCALE = "en_us.8859-1";
        DB_LOCALE = "en_us.8859-1";
        databaseEncoding = "ISO Latin-1";

Application running on WIN2K with Informix SDK 2.7 works correctly and
outputs to the database correct Spanish/German characters.

Application running on Sun 2.8 (hitting the same database) does not
store the Spanish/German characters correctly.

Have recently migrated to Informix 9.x, previously 7.x as well as newly
migrated to Sun 2.8. Previously the encoding worked fine on all
platforms.

Why would the application in the WIN2K WO Dev machine output the
characters correctly but the same application running on Sun not?
