Not handy and I don't have time to write one, but that's OK because
some professional authors already have!

Seriously -- Joshua Marker's "WebObjects for Mac OS X" has a section on
using the shared editing context, including needing to do per-session
editing of the objects.   I'm sure the other books do, as well, because
it is a core concept.   I just happen to have Marker's book in front of
me and know that the explanation appears to be straightforward.
