Wow - that's a pretty strong statement as I've found CF very flexible and extensible, and as you say extremely fast.


I used CF on a project. And it was a RAD thing. But the issues I had with it were
1) Too low level in its use of SQL.
2) Not being a Microsoft developer its reliance on COM for any extensibility was really annoying.
3) (In conjunction with 2) Not a lot of out of the box functionality. To do anything interesting you
either had to write a COM thingamabob or find one.
4) It scaled horribly. We even had some Allaire people come out to take a look. They blamed MS and
MS blamed them right back.


On my next project I decided to use something else.
