Bob,
Not often I can answer questions, but think I can help with one of
these:

As I'm now trying to come up to speed in WO here and as I'm working in
Project Builder, I've added new 'Groups' to the Web Server Resources
group such as 'graphics', 'css' & 'audio'. I've then added the
appropriate file type to these 'Groups'. However, when I go out to the
actual master directory in the Finder - looks like everything has been
all tossed into one directory! Guess it really doesn't matter as long
as Project Builder doesn't care - but was surprised to see this. First
question is: Is this normal?
As previously mentioned, this is normal. However you don't have to live
in this mess. In the Finder create correspondingly named folders to
store your work and copy the relevant files in there. Then in PB
highlight the group and do a Project > Show Info. This will open a
group info window. Here you can set the reference style to project or
group relative and then chose the path to reflect the just created
folders.
You may need to do a bit of experimentation here, and in all likelihood
PB will lose the link to your files (they will turn red) that you will
need to re-establish. For all the red files, just use the show info
window to select them again.
After a bit of mucking around, all will be resolved and any new files
created in those groups will be put in their proper folders.
One point to note though. After the first bit of setting up, close your
project and trash your build folder. PB gets confused otherwise and you
will get lots of error messages until you get rid of its old settings
(it will recreate everything when you go to build next).
Have created a couple of components and when I double click on the
Component bundle in PB, WebObjects Builder fires up just fine except
for the fact that the Edit Source is disabled.
Has to be a simple solution for anyone but a newbie. Argggh! Any
ideas for this one?
This one I don't have an answer for. Can't get it to happen on my
machine, so can't find a way of stopping it!
Ray.
