Hi Philip,

it seems that the postgres jdbc driver is missing. Place a postgres jdbc driver in /LibraryJava/Extensions.

Hi

I have Postgres freshly with Fink installed on Panther and try to use Postgres with EOModeler. I just don't get it. I downloaded and compiled "PostgresqlPlugInBundle_1.2.gtar" and "PostgresqlPlugIn_1.2.gtar" from <http://hexdreams.com/>. I put the EOMplugin into "/Developer/EOMBundles/PostgresqlPlugIn.EOMplugin" and the framework "/Library/Frameworks/PostgresqlPlugIn.framework". I have copied the "postgres.jar" at every possible location of the CLASSPATH and I have verfied, that postgres is up and running by accessing it from Webmin and creating a DB. Now, when I want to create a new EOModel in EOModeler, I have the JDBC form to fill out:

Username:	postgres
Password:
URL: jdbc:postgresql://127.0.0.1/template1
Driver:
PlugIn:

It doesn't matter, what I fill in for Driver or PlugIn: The name, the
name with its path and suffix, nothing at all. Depending on what I fill
in, I have one of the following error messages:

"JDBC connection failed for driver
:'/Library/Frameworks/PostgresqlPlugIn.framework'. Driver not found in
Java Runtime! Please verify your CLASSPATH environment variable. The
current CLASSPATH for your application is :
/Developer/Applications/EOModeler.app/Contents/Resources/Java/
eomodeler.zip:/Users/moetteli/Library/Java:/Library/Java:/System/
Library/Java:/Network/Library/Java:/System/Library/Frameworks/
JavaVM.framework/Classes/classes.jar:/System/Library/Frameworks/
JavaVM.framework/Classes/ui.jar:/Developer/Applications/EOModeler.app/
Contents/Resources/Java/eomodeler.zip"

or "No suitable driver" or

"JDBC connection failed for driver :'org.postgresql.Driver'. Driver not
found in Java Runtime! Please verify your CLASSPATH environment
variable. The current CLASSPATH for your application is :
/Developer/Applications/EOModeler.app/Contents/Resources/Java/

JavaVM.framework/Classes/classes.jar:/System/Library/Frameworks/
JavaVM.framework/Classes/ui.jar:/Developer/Applications/EOModeler.app/
Contents/Resources/Java/eomodeler.zip"

What do I have to fill in or what do I have add somewhere, so that it
works?

Thanks!
Phil
