deployment - quick questions

excuse me for sending this to every list but i've been asking about this for over a week in the https posts and I'm wondering if my mail is getting through.

Anyhow, On the Windows box I deploy on the administrator has set up a secure area for me (https) using a seperate IP address to the one I deploy on, however , I when I add the IP to Monitor as a Host I loose my SiteCofigurations, the file is replaced by the one the new host created.
How can I get to add this IP address(host) so that I can use it to switch to a secure server when it's needed and not loose my original settings?

I've been reading the WOMonitor's help and saw this but I don't understand it at all, what does it mean? Is this of help to me?

Allows applications to specify which network interface they should bind to when running. This option should only be used on hosts with multiple network interfaces (IP addresses). Set automatically for instances started by wotaskd. Thus, this property should be set only for wotaskd and Monitor.
