showing build errors

All my projects on my (work) machine won't show build errors. We've deleted xcode prefs, opened the project file and removed most of the contents, nuked the build file, no joy.

On other machines the same project (stuffed and emailed) shows errors fine.

Has anyone seen this, if so is there a reason/solution?

Short of reformatting the whole machine and reinstalling everything, I'm stumped!
