Dear all,
From some recent postings on the list, it would appear that folks are
starting to provide Web Services interfaces into Web Objects
applications. I am looking to do the same - I want to develop a rich
client which would then call business functionality on a Web Objects
server using SOAP protocols. There are obviously several ways to do
this - the Direct to Web Services way; the non-Direct to Web Services
approach which would utilise the web services frameworks provided; or
perhaps by using a third party provider toolkit like Web Methods GLUE
toolkit.
Are there are any views and opinions on what the best way might be to
go - always bearing in mind that the first answer that I know I'm
likely to get is "it depends what you are wanting to do..."! Has anyone
used the GLUE toolkit successfully? Has the D2WS toolset been used in
anger at all?
Grateful for any opinions that anyone might offer.
With best regards,
-- Steve
