I built a WO 5.1 site about two years ago and just upgraded to 5.2.
Now my client wants me to create a duplicate of it for a different
newly opened location for his business. It's a pretty low volume
business (a comedy club), and will not have a ton of traffic. Openbase
is the back end database.
I am curious about moving from Project Builder to XCode (my development
machine is now 10.3), and WO 5.1 to 5.2. I gather 5.2 is a pretty
major jump from 5.1, and things are now done a bit differently. I
never used a servlet container before, and don't know whether I should
go with a servlet (presumably running some app server under 10.2
client... which is the webserver)
Can anyone offer suggestions or insight?
Should I just treat it the same as I did before (running it using
Monitor, etc. as I did with 5.1)?
And finally, what is the best way to create a new project that is
exactly the same as an existing one, with a few minor modifications?
- Create a new project, then import the files (copying them into the
new directory), or is there another way that may be easier?
Thanks in advance.
Andrew
