Hibernate is about "give me Java objects, and get persistence for cheap".
EOF (and Cayenne) is about "give me a data model, and get runtime-typed
persistent objects. And compile-time type-safety for cheap".
I prefer the model-driven persistence since it gives me an option of not
generating .java files at all.
Yes, Hibernate has an XML format, but its intent is to be generated from
your .java files, not vice-versa.
