I've got my first issue solved. If a user changes a record through another database connection, the WebObjects user's changes are discarded, the data is re-faulted and they're given the opportunity to make their changes over the new data. Second problem is still yet to be resolved... will post shortly.

Thank you all for the help. I think I may be able to get going on D2W soon now.
