Wes,

This is a topic encountered by many people, many times. You should find lots in the archives. The reason it is happening is because WO keeps its own cache of objects.

From (catched :) memory, it essentially comes down to a few options - some sort of notification framework when data changes; invalidating objects at certain intervals; setting the editing context's default time stamp lag,

You will be able to find details of these in the archives, as well as in some parts of the Apple docs.
