WebObjects System Starter

  • Subject: WebObjects System Starter

I've been encountering the "too many open files" error described by others who are running WO 5.2 on 10.3 Server. I'm trying to follow the instructions posted earlier about using "SystemStarter restart 'WebObjects Services'" to restart the WebObjects services when things go bad - but I'm encountering the syntax error in the StopService() function in the /System/Library/StartupItems/WebObjects/WebObjects file (described at http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/archive/webobjects-dev/2003-April/ 033202.html)

However, I can't seem to get it to work. Has anyone managed to fix the syntax error in this script on 10.3 server? If so, can you post the full script to the list? Is there a better solution to the "too many open files" problem?

Regards,

Jake MacMullin
