I'm using pgSQL 7.4.1 with the matching JDBC driver pg74.1jdbc3.jar. I don't know
how you're getting the above message. But, IIRC, the pgSQL jdbc driver people
basically have autocommit always off. So the message above is intended to mean
that the api is no longer supported.
