EOF / Oracle / CLOB

  • Subject: EOF / Oracle / CLOB

Hello,

I am trying to retrieve rows from an ORACLE 8 table with EOF / WO 5.2.
The row has a few "classical" columns and one which is a CLOB (I need to store a big
string, of 8K to 15K).
In EOF, I have declared the column as String (JAVA) and CLOB (Oracle).

Inserting a new row works fine - I can retrieve the line with SQL tools and everything is OK (the content
is right).

But when I retrieve the line, I can't get the content of the attribute corresponding to the CLOB (I have nothing
in the string). I tried to set the JAVA type in EOF to NSData, but then I have strange bytes in it (trying to
make a string out of the NSData using iso-8859-1 encoding).

Can anobody points me to some example ?

Thanks !
