Nope, you're not alone.

Dropping the NS classes would require an ENORMOUS amount of refactoring across many applications. And when are Sun going to push the NSKeyValueCoding interface (etc.) into the Collection classes? I think Apple will always have to maintain at least NS wrapper classes to translate (for eg) NSDictionary.valueForKey() into Hashtable.get().
