Yep - use it exclusively for development now.
I have been using version 3 for a while and tested out an early version
of the new WOLips plugin, but Eclipse 3 was still a bit unreliable for
me on OSX (10.3). I think it's more to do with my environment rather
than eclipse - I have had several things not work right for me recently
(eg I have lost some Javascript support in Safari. Some, not
all...weird...). Anyway, I am back on Eclipse 2.1 with WOLips, and
everything is just peachy.
Reason for switching - cross platform development, Ant, good Java
support, CVS integration
I find it a little sluggish on OSX (I have a 733 G4), but its good
enough.
I tried IDEA and NetBeans before deciding on Eclipse. IDEA I couldn't
get working (probably due to my environment again), and NetBeans was
s-l-o-w...
