The point about validation and additional attributes is a very good point in relation to common data sets such as States, Countries, etc. and I agree on all those points, but sometimes in the end it comes down to performance. Which you can slice a number of ways depending on what the priority is, number of users per instance, responsiveness, memory usage, etc.

My main point was simply that when starting out with WO the tendency is to model everything and possibly overuse relationships. This has can have truly awful impact on performance. I believe this along with other "newbie" misunderstandings turns off a lot of new WO developers, do even get me started on the perceived "mysterious" ways EO caching works.

It would be nice if Apple provided some common components for handling Country, State, Telephone and Zip Code display and validation. After all a majority or web application use these common data sets. I am sure there are more but some basic would be nice. Just a wish of mine.
