no. Until the fetchSpec has been executed EOF doesn't know which
objects
are going to be returned so it can't decide based on the contents of
the EditingContext
whether it needs to hit the database or not. Consequently it DOES go
to the database.

Won't the fetch specification still get the objects out of memory
unless you set refreshesRefetchedObjects to YES? My understanding is
