Restricting number of Entities in Direct to Java Client

  • Subject: Restricting number of Entities in Direct to Java Client

Hope everyone is having a good weekend...! I have a question on Direct to Java Client. My main application is web-delivered, but I'd like to have a small D2JC application that a small group of intranet-connected administrators use to maintain certain entities that serve as common code tables - such as currency, country etc. codes.

If I use the same EOModel that I'm using for my main application in my D2JC application, then I see all of the entities on the project in the main query window when the app starts, where I only want a select few. Changing an entities attributes so that none are client-side visible doesn't remove that entity from the list as I thought it might. Is there a simple way that I can use to restrict the entities visible in D2JC to those I want, or is the only way to use a different EOModel for my admin client that only has those entities in it that I want?

Many thanks for any advice.

Best regards,

-- Steve
