1) The site talks about setting it up to work with Project Builder ..... how do you get it to work with XCode, or does it not work with XCode?

You should be able to open up the projects in XCode and compile them with no problems. I *strongly* suggest to use the ant-based builds, though.

2) There does not seem to be any documentation describing the elements of the framework, usage, API, etc., is there anything out there or does it have even a JavaDoc generated API documentation?

There is JavaDoc documentation for most of the non-component classes. For the components, they are at least grouped in way that should hint to their usage and have a one-liner description at the top of the code. Some are documented more thouroughly, like the mentioned ERXJSPopupRelationPicker-

3) Does Wonder 1.0.1 (released March 2003) work with Panther/WO 5.2.2 combination?

It should, as there are no breaking API changes in WO, but I recommend on checking out the current CVS head.
