ISO Time & Scalar values

Folks,

(WebObjects/Frontbase related question)

I am considering the implementation of two custom value classes: ISO Time & Normalized scalar values. Here example values:

ISO Time
20040129
20040129T0137
2004W3
20040101P20040129

Scalar values
0.12L == 12 cm
1.0L == 1m
1.0L^2 == 1m^2
1.0x10^2LT^-1 == 100m/s

etc.

Both could be presented as BYTE(128) or similar.

- Is it possible to implement them in a way that standard comparison operation, and indexing will work? (Something like timestamp). Or am I requesting a new PlugIn feature for FB v. 5.0?
- Was this attempted before using WO? (Google told me otherwise, but one never knows)


I am specially interested on ISO Time implementation, because NSTimestemp and friends s... - well, you know what :-)
