I agree complitely with Jake MacMullin.
If you check WO. who really use the old WO on windows? or the poor XCode on
Mac?
And PLEASE dont forget that this WO poor stuff, doesnt run on Linux at all.
what the hell Apple think about??!!
Your hause cost Millions in the past. But it still need Billions in the
future.
according to. if you check the market today. you will find that WebObjects
is not the number one.
In spite of its one of the best on the market.
IBM stopped its own EDI and started supporting Eclipse. // good example for
Apple.
regards.
WO 5 works on Windows 2K & 2K Server, Windows XP, Redhat Linux, MacOSX, AIX,
Solaris, and HP/UX.
I know, because I've run it successfully on all of them under a variety of
versions. No doubt, it would work on Mandrake too, as that's really not all
that different (fundamentally) from Redhat/Debian/Suse.
Apple may not support WO under anything other than Win 2K, Solaris and MacOSX,
but it can certainly be persuaded to do so by a competent developer.
btw, IBM may have stopped writing their own IDE (integrated development
environment) in favour of Eclipse, but they still do their own EDI (electronic
data interchange)! ;)
I've been using WO since 3.5, mainly on Windows NT/2K/XP.
