(A) is just basic good advice IMHO (not all agree with me, but they are wrong ;-) (B) will result in a fixed port #, choose the port you want

Yes, run Apache on your dev machine.

will it work the same though? I thought that, since the dev builds have a different (random?) port each time, it'd much up the rules.
