Are display groups bad?
I ask because I just recently started using them. Until now, I have
been coding everything by hand. However, after going through a
tutorial that I blew off last year, I really enjoy using them. My only
fear is that the are either too bloated or are limited in functionality
somehow.
(Personally, I kinda like them. Almost all web pages can be viewed as
some sort of display group)
In observing the list, people seem to dislike them for one of two
reasons:
1. They can suck "lots" of EOs into memory. This may or may not be a
bad thing.
2. Sometimes (mostly?) they are very difficult to get to behave the
way one wants.
Once you hit #2 you may dislike them, too. :-)
