This is one of the greatest features of WO, given that it was out a
number of years ago.
With Java WebObjects this is now limited only with having a JRE 1.4.2
on the target system.
However, you do have to install the runtime on each target machine (Win
2K - not XP?).
In answer to your question, yes, you can build on a Mac, and deploy
(literally copy) WO's to a Solaris box, as I do.
If you're doing "server-side" EO's, you might want to look at running
them under JBoss, since there are some neat .jar packaging options
available to you.
