WO is not OpenSource. It requires a valid, paid for license regardless
of how you package it.

Okay, I've asked a similar question a while back, but need to ask
again. The responses I got were all great, but they were waaay too
over my head (as well as the head of my partner). So, I'm gonna ask
again. For those that opt to reply, let me first say thanx, but also
ask you to please keep our WebObjects/Java ignorance in mind.
So, without further adue... err... adeu... aah... ad-u... AAAW, HECK!
Here's the question...
Can I use WebObjects for development and then package the resulting
application in such a way that I will NOT have to install WebObjects on
the machine hosting the application? Even as I write this, I cannot
believe how stupid of a question it is. Still, someone told me it is
possible. I like the speed and easy of development with the UI and EO
for web-based apps. Unfortunately, however, I need to build in such a
way that I will not have any licensing requirements from anyone other
than the developers of the actual web server, operating system, and
database.
I know... I know...
Thanx,
Ryan
