Other than DB2/AS400 I believe most databases will perform
the way you want.
If you don't put a * on the end of the search string the
CaseInsensitiveLike will only match Brown and not Browner. If you put
a * on the end then it will match both. DB2/AS400 seems to have a
weird bug where like without an * does not match but if you are using
anything else it should work.
