Can't insert a second record?!

Here is my error message... seems as though the id isn't getting
incremented in the second insert?

  java.lang.IllegalStateException: recordInsertForObject:
com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext
com.webobjects.eoaccess.EODatabaseContext@26172f found a snapshot for
EO with Global ID:_EOIntegralKeyGlobalID[PortfolioRole
(java.math.BigDecimal)408] that has been inserted into
com.webobjects.eocontrol.EOEditingContextcom.webobjects.eocontrol.EOEdit
ingContext@95ba08. Cannot insert an object that is already in the
database

Thoughts help?
