Given the problems that some of us experiencing with monitor under the
new release, has anyone tried taking the newer, developer version of Java
and installed it on their deployment box? Is this this something that is
recommended?
On a related note, we are holding off upgrading our deployment boxes (OS
X and Solaris 8) until we are sure that the issue of overwriting startup
scripts, that was widely reported on the lists, has been addressed by Apple.
Apple, has it been addressed? Is the upgrade safe for us to use? What
about the different version of Monitor? What is Apple's recommendation
version (the new developer/or the oder deployment)?
Finally, have the issues with deployment on OS X been addressed (so we
don't have to use the kluge scrip to kill off excess TCP/IP sessions)?
