Just create a "name" binding for your WO objects and put your name
there. There is a catch. Some WO objects use the html name parameter to
store their ids (WOCheckbox for example) although I have noticed they
also put their ids elsewhere... so test that creating an explicit name
binding doesn't break anything.

Now on to the next problem. I know I need to name form elements and
buttons, etc. so that I can reference them.
However I don't know where. I've tried a bunch of places in WO Builder
without success. Even I've put "Form1" in pretty much every field it
still says "No form present with name or id [Form1]"
Help appreciated.
