Or maybe you could set up IIS to redirect /webapp to
/cgi-bin/WebObjects.exe/AnApp.woa?

you cant remove much.
you can only CHANGE cig-bin into something else not remove
and you can short ur AnApp.woa into a.woa for ex.
you can can remove this /1 at first time.
ex: http://host/c/WebObjects.exe/a.woa
