Portable EO

My question is simple: Can I take EO with me on any Windows, Linux, or
Mac box for both the web application and compiled Java application that
I am building?

I have been looking towards WebObjects as a possible
platform-independent solution for something I am working on. The one
requirement that this project has is the code must be portable from one
operating system to another. My goal was to use WebObjects and EO to
build the web-based front end and then to reuse the EO classes for a
background service/process that needs to be run every few minutes.

Thanx,
Ryan
